MISSION: International Girls Ensemble aims to empower girls globally through educational and applied theatre. We provide quality arts education and performance skills; promote leadership, advocacy, and continued education for girls in the U.S. and abroad.

WHAT THEY DO: We work with girls in under served communities both in the US and abroad. Focusing on self advocacy, leadership and critical thinking skills and tackling topics including girls access to education, reproductive rights, and ownership over life choices.

ABOUT: Our curriculum is facilitated by talented arts educators and teaching artists who are well versed and passionate about social justice issues. Our participants are trained in various acting techniques, movement and dance, and breath and vocal work which aid in their cumulative performance of a devised piece of theatre. Additionally, we have created opportunity to connect girls worldwide using media, who are simultaneously being taught the IGE curriculum.  This connection creates a global sisterhood of support and community.

We champion causes that are essential for girls success in school and work with partners to donate menstrual products to our participants abroad so they can stay in school.
